Colerain High School is proud to announce the hiring of Patrick Allen as the new Head Varsity Wrestling Coach, pending BOE approval. A 2013 Colerain graduate and longtime member of the Colerain community, Coach Patrick Allen brings passion, experience, and a deep commitment to the student-athletes and families of the Northwest Local School District.
For more than 15 years, Coach Patrick Allen has remained closely connected to the Colerain community, a place he says has shaped his family, values, and approach to coaching. All of his siblings are graduates of Colerain High School, and his youngest sibling recently earned a bachelor's degree from Ohio University, continuing a strong family tradition rooted in Colerain pride. Today, Coach Patrick Allen and his wife are raising their own children, a 10-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter, within the Northwest Local School District, further strengthening his investment in the community's future.
Coach Patrick Allen began his coaching journey at White Oak Middle School while volunteering with the varsity wrestling program, where he quickly discovered his passion for developing young athletes. Over the past four years, he has served as an assistant coach under former Head Coach Hunter Hampton, while also dedicating five years to the Colerain youth wrestling program. Through those experiences, Coach Patrick Allen has gained valuable mentorship, leadership experience, and a deep appreciation for the tradition and resilience that define Colerain Wrestling.
"To me, Colerain represents more than just a school or community it stands for leadership, respect, and integrity," said Coach Patrick Allen. "Those values motivate my work both as a coach and as a parent, and they are the foundation of the culture I want to continue building within our wrestling program."
As Head Coach, Coach Patrick Allen's vision is centered on developing athletes who compete with character, carry themselves with pride, and represent Colerain with toughness, unity, and class both on and off the mat.
Coach Patrick Allen added, "I am honored to lead this program and look forward to serving the athletes, families, and community that mean so much to me."
